Cusecho Swap Guidelines
Your complete guide to safe, secure, and successful swapping on Cusecho. A community-driven platform that makes it easy to swap or sell new and used items.
To keep things safe, smooth, and fair for everyone, we've created these guidelines for all users. This document covers both in-person and delivery-based swaps, and outlines what Cusecho supports, and what we don't.
Quick Navigation
1. General Principles for All Swaps
- Be honest about your item's condition
- Communicate clearly and respectfully
- Use Cusecho's built-in chat, confirmation, and escrow tools
- If something feels wrong or suspicious, do not proceed
- Report any issues to the Cusecho Support Team
2. For Sellers (Givers of Items)
Before Listing an Item:
- •List only items that are functional (unless marked clearly as damaged)
- •Take clear photos and write an accurate description
- •Include relevant details such as size, flaws, accessories, and whether you're open to delivery or pickup
During a Swap (In-Person or Delivery):
- •Respond promptly to messages
- •Confirm the swap terms before proceeding (e.g., item-for-item, item-for-cash)
- •For delivery, share the tracking info with the buyer
Before Finalizing:
Don't hand over or ship your item until:
- •You've verified the buyer's side of the deal (payment or item)
- •You've agreed on the delivery method and who covers the cost
3. For Buyers (Receivers of Items)
Before Requesting:
- •Read the item description thoroughly
- •Ask the seller questions if anything is unclear
- •Make sure your offer (item or cash) is fair based on item value and condition
When Swapping:
For in-person swaps:
Meet in public, test the item, and confirm everything before leaving.
For delivery-based swaps:
- •Verify the sender's details
- •Track the delivery
- •Record an unboxing video in case of disputes
After Receiving:
- •Confirm you've received the item and it matches the listing
- •Leave a fair review for the other user
4. Delivery-Based Swaps: What You Need to Know
Cusecho now supports delivery swaps through self-arranged shipping. Here's how to keep your delivery swap secure:
Guidelines:
- •Always confirm the courier, delivery fees, and payment method upfront
- •Use a trackable shipping option with evidence of delivery
- •Record the packaging process and unboxing for your protection
- •Confirm receipt through the Cusecho platform, not just offline
Who Covers the Delivery Fee?
- •The delivery fee should be agreed upon by both parties before the swap
- •Cusecho does not cover shipping or refund shipping disputes
5. Escrow and Transaction Protection
- Cusecho offers Escrow Protection for eligible swaps (especially cash-based)
- Cash sent via Cusecho Escrow is only released after both parties confirm satisfaction
- For item-for-item swaps, both parties must confirm receipt before credits are unlocked
6. Withdrawals and KYC Requirements
To protect users and reduce fraud:
- •The name on your Cusecho profile must match the name on your bank account or BVN before any withdrawal can be processed
- •Enter your full legal name during sign-up
- •Withdrawals may be delayed or rejected if your identity cannot be verified
7. Cusecho Wallet & Payments
The Cusecho wallet is designed to make cash-based swaps easier, safer, and traceable. However, to maintain fairness and security for all users:
- •Wallet deposits not tied to active transactions above ₦2,500 are non-withdrawable
- •Users must not use the wallet system to collect funds, run scams, or deceive others
- •Violators may be banned and reported if found abusing the wallet for non-swap activities
If you’re ever unsure, reach out to support before making a deposit.
8. After a Swap: What to Do
- Leave a review. It helps others trust who they're swapping with.
- If you had a good experience, say so.
- If you had a bad experience, report the issue through our platform with proof.
9. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- •List stolen, fake, prohibited, or illegal items
- •Misrepresent an item's value or condition
- •Attempt to trade or pay outside the Cusecho app
- •Harass or scam other users
- •Post multiple fake listings to manipulate visibility
Accounts that violate these rules may be suspended or permanently removed.
10. What Cusecho Does Not Cover (Legal Disclaimer)
While we work to make Cusecho as safe as possible, please note:
- •Cusecho is not liable for loss, damage, or dissatisfaction with items swapped
- •Delivery issues such as delays, loss, or damage are the responsibility of the users and the courier service chosen
- •Disputes handled outside of Cusecho's chat or escrow system cannot be tracked or resolved by our team
- •We do not refund swap credits or cash unless the Escrow system was used and both parties followed due process
Always keep records, use Cusecho's built-in features, and communicate honestly.
11. Cusecho's Promise
Our goal is to build Nigeria's most trusted swap community.
We monitor user activity, respond to reports, and continuously update features to protect you.
Let's keep the marketplace safe, smart, and honest together.
